Marantz Announces Low-Profile Atmos AV Receiver
Marantz is kicking off its 2016 home theater line-up with an affordable, low-profile 7.2-channel network AV receiver aimed at "design- and space-conscious enthusiasts who do not want to compromise on performance."
The latest addition to Marantz’s Slim Design line, the NR1607 packs 7 x 50 watts of power, 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound capability, Dolby TrueHD lossless decoding, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity with support for Pandora, SiriusXM, and Spotify Connect streaming services into a chassis that is 4 inches tall. The receiver supports 4K Ultra HD video (60Hz/4:4:4), high dynamic range (HDR), wide color gamut, HDMI 2.0a, HDCP 2.2, and high-resolution audio as well as BT.2020 passthrough on all inputs.
The NR1607 is expected to be available in May for $699.
