Myers plays an American raised in India by gurus (Tugginmypudha & Satchabigknoba) and returns to the U.S. in order to break into the self-help business. His unorthodox methods are put to the test when he must settle the romantic troubles and subsequent professional skid of a star hockey player, whose wife left him for a rival athlete Jacques Grande.

I think it is time for Myers to start re-examining his comedy. Shrek 3 was a desperate attempt to just re-peddle what’s been done before and this one was even worse. The comedy here was anything but funny and this resulted in a painful hour and a half of film watching. Most of the film felt recycled from the Austin Powers series and Myer’s charms were completely gone. The story and characters had nothing going for them and I’m actually embarrassed for the talent involved. Do yourself a favor and avoid this one at all costs.

While the story was horrific Paramount has done a great job with the HD presentation. Colors are rich in detail and have a slightly oversaturated look that lends itself to the Bollywood themes. Fine object detail is great and the image has a solid sense of dimension and depth.

The 5.1 Dolby TrueHD mix has its moments but overall it is an average ride. Myers breaks into song a few times in the film and once again shows his eclectic taste for 70’s tunes. While this is suppose to add to the comedy of the film, it normally comes off as desperate. Some of the hockey sequences have some nice range and sense of space but overall this is a by the numbers mix.

Lots of extras on this release including several themed features. You get an inside look at the production along with a few deleted scenes. There are also some funny excerpts including hockey training and more on the booth guys from the film. Bloopers and the trailers are also included. On disc two is a digital copy of the film for your PC or iPod.

While Paramount has done a great job with the presentation, the packing is the only thing worth commenting on here. This is an embarrassment of a film that wasn’t entertaining in any way. By far the worst film I’ve had to sit through in years, and I’ve sat through some BAD ones.
