Epson Launches Certified ReNew Program to Give Consumers a Price Break

Epson today announced the Epson Certified ReNew program that aims to give consumers besieged with ever-increasing prices in all product categories a break on video projectors, printers, and scanners.

Hailed as “product refurbishment done right,” the program makes carefully refurbished projectors available at significantly reduced prices.

Every Epson Certified ReNew product is thoroughly inspected and tested to ensure “like-new” standards for performance, functionality, and reliability, according to Epson. Repairs are made using only new Epson Genuine Parts and every product is cosmetically cleaned for a like-new appearance and packed in a new box made from 100% recycled materials along with the appropriate manuals, software, and cables, the company added. Certified ReNew products are also covered by the same warranty as the corresponding new product.

As one example, a refurbished EpiqVision Ultra LS500 laser projector is offered at $2,200. The projector, which originally sold for $5,000 but has since been discontinued, received our Top Pick award in 2020. A newer Home Cinema 880 3LCD 1080p projector is offered at $450, $150 less than the regular retail price.

“We ensure every product is brought to a like-new state, backing it up with the same warranty as any new product,” said Mike Isgrig, vice president of Epson America’s consumer division. “The Epson Certified ReNew program underscores the importance of ‘reduce, reuse, recycle.’ Helping support a circular economy and keeping products out of landfills is a win-win-win for consumers, Epson, and the environment.”
