Naim’s New High-end Streaming Amp Packs a Punch

U.K.-based Naim Audio today introduced a powerful addition to its popular Uniti line of high-end streaming amplifiers.

Slated to sell for $9,999 when it ships in February, the new Uniti Nova PE (Power Edition) combines a multifaceted high-resolution streamer and 2 x 150-watt Class D power amplifier in an elegant brushed-aluminum chassis featuring a color LCD screen on its front panel.

The app-based streamer is Roon Ready and provides a wealth of streaming options, including direct access to Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, Apple Music, and a multitude of internet radio stations in addition to supporting Chromecast, AirPlay 2, UPnP, aptX HD-enabled Bluetooth, and multiroom capability with Naim streaming devices.

At 150 watts per channel, the Nova PE is rated to deliver 70 watts more than Naim’s Nova model, making it the brand’s most powerful streaming amplifier — one capable of driving the most demanding speakers. A host of analog and digital connections are provided, including an HDMI port and analog preamp/sub outputs.

Naim Audio and the French speaker maker Focal are owned by France’s VerVent Audio. For more information, visit: naimaudio.com.
