Sennheiser’s New 50-Hour Wireless Headphones Are Packed with Features

Sennheiser is targeting convenience and value with its newest wireless headphones.

The Accentum Plus headphones ($230) have a rated battery life of 50 hours per charge and employ adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) to intelligently combat noise and aptX Adaptive Bluetooth 5.2 to ensure high sound quality.

Sound is conveyed by a pair of proprietary 1.4-inch (37mm) transducers, each angled to “create a wider soundstage for a more immersive listening experience.”

Touch controls, borrowed from Sennheiser’s flagship Momentum series, provide decisive control over music or you can use the Smart Control App, which also includes a five-band EQ with the ability to store custom presets and the choice of several modes to personalize sound. Co-developed with the prestigious Fraunhofer Institute, a Sound Personalization mode tailors sound to the unique attributes of your hearing.

In addition to keeping outside noise to a minimum by adapting to changes in ambient noise around the headphones, the noise-cancellation system automatically reduces wind noise and provides a transparency mode for those times when you need to be aware of your surroundings.

The Accentum Plus headphones support multipoint connectivity for switching the active wireless connection from one Bluetooth device to another without the need for re-pairing. When the Accentum Plus’ long-lasting battery finally runs out, a handy quick-charge feature is said to add 5 hours of listening time in only 10 minutes.

Sennheiser addresses comfort with earcup and headband padding that adapts to the contour of your head. Offered in black or white, the Accentum Plus headphones fold flat and come with a zipper case for storing the ’phones along with the supplied 3.5mm minijack audio cable.
