Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Pro Edition: Iconic Sound and Design

British audio manufacturer Bowers & Wilkins, a leader in high-performance audio technology since 1966, has launched the Zeppelin Pro Edition. Building on the acclaim and success of the Zeppelin wireless loudspeaker, the Pro Edition offers superior performance, innovative design enhancements, and advanced smart features.

Refined and Distinctive Design
The Zeppelin Pro Edition retains the iconic Zeppelin shape while introducing impactful design upgrades. Available in two new finishes—Solar Gold and Space Grey—it features a redesigned downlight system with user-selectable options across 15 colors and adjustable brightness levels. These enhancements elevate the speaker’s aesthetic appeal, allowing seamless integration into different home environments.

Advanced Audio Technology
Central to the Pro Edition’s enhanced performance is the incorporation of Titanium Dome tweeters, also found on Bowers & Wilkins’ 600 Series speakers. These tweeters are strategically positioned at the enclosure’s edges and isolated to prevent vibrations from the larger drive units.

Complementing the tweeters are 90mm midrange drivers utilizing Bowers & Wilkins’ proprietary Fixed Suspension Transducer (FST™) technology, also used in the company’s premium floor-standing speakers. The midrange drivers feature increased cone damping to minimize cone break-up. Coupled with revised DSP tuning, the Zeppelin Pro Edition renders a detailed, expansive soundstage.

A centrally mounted 150mm subwoofer enhances the system with deep, precise bass. Its design avoids cabinet vibrations, for clean low-frequency output.

Seamless Multiroom Integration
Bowers & Wilkins has integrated multiroom functionality into the Zeppelin Pro Edition, allowing it to connect with other Zeppelin speakers or the Formation range of high-resolution wireless speakers. The speaker supports a variety of streaming options, including AirPlay2, Bluetooth aptX Adaptive, and Spotify Connect.

Through the Bowers & Wilkins Music app, users can access numerous music streaming services such as Deezer, Last.fm, Qobuz, TIDAL, and TuneIn.

Availability and Pricing
The Zeppelin Pro Edition is available starting October 15, 2024, in Space Grey and Solar Gold finishes. Priced at $799 USD, it can be purchased through Bowers & Wilkins’ official website.
