Perfect mini system
Fluance Celebrates 20 Years with Limited-Edition Audio Bundle
The RT81 ($250 on its own) is a belt-drive turntable equipped with a built-in phono preamp, a balanced S-Type tonearm fitted with an Audio Technica ATN95E moving-magnet cartridge, and gold-plated RCA jacks. A dust cover is included.
The Ai40, which sells for the regular price of $200/pair, teams a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter and 5-inch fiber-composite woofer in sealed cabinet, one of which houses a 2 x 35-watt Class D amplifier/preamp that also supports aptX-enabled Bluetooth streaming. The speaker is rated down to 40Hz and comes with a remote control.
Plugging the Ai40s into the turntable creates a self-contained audio system with no need for an external amp or preamp. Both are covered by Fluance’s two-year warranty.
