Sennheiser Celebrates Pink Floyd with Special Edition Headphones

Sennheiser has announced a special edition of its HD1 Momentum wireless headphones to celebrate Pink Floyd and commemorate the opening of The Pink Floyd Exhibition: “Their Mortal Remains,” a retrospective of the legendary rock band that opened recently at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum.

The headphones are customized to evoke the 1973 classic The Dark Side of the Moon. Leather covering the stainless steel headband features rainbow stitching that mirrors the color spectrum on the album’s iconic cover and the ear cups are finished with a pearlescent rainbow sheen and engraved with the Pink Floyd “prism” symbol. The headband also has a name plate featuring the name of the band and the exhibition.

Highlights of the Bluetooth/aptX-enabled headphones include NFC pairing with compatible mobile devices, active noise reduction, a built-in microphone, and a foldable headband.

In addition to designing the special-edition headphones, Sennheiser recently partnered with Pink to produce a new immersive Ambeo 3D mix of “Comfortably Numb” and other songs from 2015’s Live 8 concert.

The headphones will be available in late June for $500 but are available for preorder now. For more information visit en-us.sennheiser.com.
