The Ultrasone Edition 9s were incredible. They looked, sounded and fit like a pair of ultra-expensive headphones should. The Edition 8 phones replace the Edition 9s at the top of the Ultrasone totem pole, boasting upgrades like ear cups covered in fine Ethiopian sheepskin and an increased range of 6-42k Hz. Of course, they'll set you back $1,500 so they're right up there with the new Sennheiser flagships we saw at CES. They certainly win out in the looks department, but I'd love to find out how the two compare in the audio department.
