Wrensilva Launches Limited-Edition Hi-Fi Console
Unlike the company’s classic consoles, which evoke the hi-fi consoles of the ’60s and ’70s, the new Loft Tuxedo is a striking all-in-one turntable-based music system that also supports app-based streaming via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with Sonos compatibility. The company is only making 100 units, each priced at $5,999.
The console is lighted and features a “fully decoupled” belt-driven Pro-Ject turntable with a frosted acrylic platter, gloss-black plinth, aluminum tonearm, and Grado Gold phono cartridge. The table feeds a simple homegrown solid-state preamp and ICEpower class-D amplifier that delivers 100 watts per channel to a built-in two-way bass-reflex speaker system with 5-inch woofers rated down to 55 Hz (±2.5dB). The preamp provides an input selector and controls for volume, balance, bass, and treble.
Everything is housed in an ebonized hardwood cabinet featuring a distinctive wrap-around white-on-white grille. The console provides storage for up to 60 albums on a shelf between the leg supports. Overall dimensions are 32 x 33 x 20 inches (W x H x D). Wrensilva describes the Loft Tuxedo, which is handcrafted in California, as “a glamorous tribute to the good life.”
Lead time is quoted at 8-10 weeks so the company is offering a Wrensilva Holiday Gift Package to put under the tree for orders placed by December 18. For more information, visit wrensilva.com.
