Trinnov, the Paris-based maker of high performance AV gear, today announced the establishment of a U.S. subsidiary to manage the company’s expanding presence in the states and provide factory direct support for its products.

CEDIA Expo opens today in San Diego and runs through Saturday, September 8. The 2018 version of the trade show will bring together more than 20,000 professionals involved in the $14 billion home technology industry. In addition to CEDIA’s robust educational program, this year’s show will feature 500-plus exhibits showcasing a broad range of the latest in audio/video, home theater, and smart-home technology.

Not to be outdone by Samsung, LG had its own 8K TV to show at IFA 2018, this one an 88-inch OLED model.

Always the pauper, never quite the prince. While the sounds of other SoCal Sunset Strip brethren like The Doors and The Byrds made the leap into mass consciousness, Love’s impact initially came at more of the cult-favorite level—though their multicultural influence has only grown over the ensuing years, especially within the British alternative scene of the early ’90s.
