We don’t usually expect to see new projectors at CES (that’s normally CEDIA territory) but LG showed its new HU80KA 4K entry.

Monster doesn’t really have a stake in the automotive field, unless you take into account Noel Lee’s lineup of custom car builds, including a Bentley, Lamborghini and Ferrari show car. However, with a new collaboration with Volkswagen, the Concept R could become a Monster first: a true production vehicle.

I am a fan of 1More. Their wired earphones have provided me with audiophile playback quality at reasonable price points. In particular, their triple-driver earbuds have been a personal favorite of mine. Now, this design, and others, will be available in a wireless format.

When I entered the Hi-Res Audio pavilion, my eye was immediately attracted to the Lincoln Continental parked there. This $70,000 vehicle is a luxury looker, and since it was sitting in an official Hi-Res area, I suspected it would sound good too. My suspicions proved correct.

Audio product news is sparse at Sony's booth for this CES, but the headliner at its press conference was a compact, 3.1-channel soundbar/wireless subwoofer combo that touts compatibility with Atmos and DTS:X soundtracks.
