These films are old-time favorites for me, reminding me of a time when action films had happy endings and weren't filled with blood. They are still as funny as I remember, and the special effects are fairly decent, considering how long ago the movies were made. Both films feature an outstanding cast, which includes Bill Murray as Venkman, Dan Aykroyd as Stantz, and Harold Ramis as Spengler, and, of course, don't forget the green ghoul, Slimer. I felt drawn into both films right from the beginning and was entertained the entire time. Both movies flow very well and lead up to the climactic points where the Ghostbusters save New York City from the supernatural and all is well with the world again. I would highly recommend these two movies for people of all ages to laugh and enjoy.

Ghostbusters' 2.40:1 anamorphic transfer and Ghostbusters 2's 2.35:1 ana- morphic transfer shows off many great landmarks of Manhattan, capturing the toughness of the city. The Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack is loud and clear, keeping you captivated on the action. The soundtracks are mostly pop songs that were very popular in the late '80s and early '90s.

The best part of this double-feature gift set is the "Ghostbusters Movie Scrapbook," which includes a description of the movie characters, as well as comic strips and an explanation of the special effects. These DVDs are oldies but goodies in my book.
