Two Girls and a Guy—20th Century Fox (Blu-ray)

They're as different as they are beautiful, but Carla and Lou have more in common than meets the eye. Each brags that she has the world's greatest boyfriend - until both realize they're talking about the same guy! Sparks fly when the two girls team up to confront their lying, two-timing lover.

While this film does bring up some interesting ideas on what a normal relationship means, the film feels less like a film and more like a play. From the fast lines to the simple production design, I felt like I was watching a stage production more than a film (though a good stage production). Still, Downey turns in a great performance and despite the simple style, I enjoyed the dialogue.

Presentation wise this one is a bit underwhelming. The picture quality is pretty good, actors faces show nice fine detail in close ups and fine film grain is evident throughout. The production budget does show though so don’t expect a razor sharp image. The audio is presented in DTS-HD Master Audio but the dubbing is poor with noticeable echo effects and poor ADR. At times it was bad enough to take you out of the moment.

Fox includes both cuts of the film along with an interview with the director, a feature commentary and the trailer.

This would be an interesting date night rental. While the title may allude to something more than it really is, the back and forth of the characters will definitely stir up some likely emotions from the viewers, which is always fun. Worth a rental.
