Kaleidescape Upgrades Software
Kaleidescape, Inc. was showing their extensive and comprehensive music server in a small meeting room at the Venetian. They weren't introducing any new components for their system, however, they were showcasing the latest version of their proprietary Kaleidescape Entertainment Appliance Operating System (KEAOS 3.5), providing Kaleidescape owners more ways to enjoy movies and music.
New features include the ability to automatically synchronize music from a Kaleidescape System to iTunes on a PC, an iPod or other digital music player.
Originally designed as a video server, KEAOS 3.5 adds user-defined music collections enabling users to organize their music, too. Collections can contain albums, artists, genres, mix albums (playlists) or any combination. Plus the classical music interface allows users to organize by composer and specific classical works. The new enhancements also increase the reliability of restoring the contents of a failed disk.
The KEAOS 3.5 is available on all new Kaleidescape Systems and will be provided automatically to existing customers.
