Once again Magnepan shows us that you don't have to be a one-percenter to afford exotic flat panel loudspeakers. The company's new .7 dipole speakers use ribbon drivers to fill the room with effortlessly transparent sound. At CES they are being demonstrated with Conrad-Johnson electronics, which seem have no problem driving the often power-hungry Magneplanars to a decent volume.

Best of all, the .7s, which are expected to ship this spring, will only cost around $1,400 a pair.
