MEE Audio Introduces Two New Headphones
The Pinnacle P1 (pictured) is MEE’s highest-performing in-ear earphone; it uses a proprietary acoustic diffuser that is said to provide audiophile-grade sound quality. It uses a traditional moving coil (dynamic) driver of 10 mm with a copper-clad aluminum voice coil, but the company claims sound quality that is closer to that of a balanced armature system. Impedance is 50 ohms; high frequency response is rated to 20 kHz. The robust case is made of a die-cast zinc alloy and is burnished by hand polishing. Its interchangeable, detachable cables use MMCX connectors; both stereo and headset cables are included. The buds' ergonomic design let you wear them two different ways and the earphone comes with three sets of memory foam ear tips, six sets of silicon ear tips, and a protective carrying case. MSRP is $200 and it is available now.
The X7 Plus is a wireless sport earphone. It uses Bluetooth 4.1 with Multipoint functionality and supports aptX and AAC HD audio codecs. Liquipel Watersafe nano-coating helps protect against sweat and the elements. Battery is said to be 8 hours of continuous use. MSRP is $100 and it is available now.
Also, MEE is launching its first Bluetooth audio transmitter for the home. The Connect provides universal connectivity with digital and analog inputs, and has the ability to stream to two Bluetooth wireless headphones or speakers simultaneously. It is well suited to stream from a TV to the playback device. MSRP is $60 and it is available now.
