TI KO LCD
LCD panel manufacturers are touting the effectiveness of 120 Hz refresh rates for dragging their little darlings out of the drug-induced haze that is LCD smear. I've seen JVC, SyntaxBrillian's Olivia and Sharp LCDs with the technology and it clearly works and works well.
Well, TI is kicking sand in LCD's eyes. They're showing how a 240 Hz sourced rate feeding their LED DLP light engine takes things to a new plane. The demonstration was highly effective, with the 240 Hz display looking, but the source was a slow moving pan of the Taj Mahal. I'd like to see it with something more real world. You know. Like Transformers.
