CEDIA Announces Shark Tank-Style TechStarter Program

CEDIA has announced a Shark Tank-style TechStarter program that will enable new companies to pitch their business models to leaders in residential technology at 2019 CEDIA Expo, which runs September 10-14 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.

TechStarter judges will walk the “Innovation Alley” section of the show floor looking for future products or services that show great promise and select five companies to receive the “TechStarter Five” designation. CEDIA CEO Tabatha O’Connor will be one of the judges along with Alex Capecelatro, CEO and founder of Josh.AI and Hagai Feiner, founder and CEO of Access Networks.

Winners will receive free promotion at CEDIA Expo and appear on a Q&A panel at the Expo.

“CEDIA Expo aims to be a spring board for our new-to-industry brands,” said Brian Pagel, senior vice president of Emerald Expositions, which operates CEDIA Expo. “The TechStarter program will introduce the newest brands to the brightest minds within our industry and give them the platform to make their innovations successful.”
