Binaura Sound Environment B102A HT Labs Measures
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the Main Speaker center channel (purple trace) and subwoofer (blue trace). The main loudspeaker was measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter. Due to the nature of the L/R and surround channels on this product, the only meaningful quasi-anechoic measurements we could make were of the center channel output.
The Main Speaker's listening-window response in stereo mode (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +2.51/–5.97 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +3.46/–5.76 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 130 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 116 Hz.
The subwoofer's close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3dB point is at 67 Hz and the –6dB point is at 58 Hz. The upper –3dB point is at 118 Hz.—MJP
