Bower and Wilkins' first foray into headphones start hitting stores this week, 3 months after they premiered at CES 2010. The P5 Mobile Hi-Fi Headphones will be available at Apple stores across the country over the next few weeks. The headphones are compatible with the iPod and iPhone, and feature an in-line microphone/remote. The remote can only pause tracks and adjust volume, but the microphone can be used with the iPhone for calls.

I attended a demo of the $300 headphones today. While I can't offer a judgment of the headphones' sound quality based on a 5-minute session, I can say that I was impressed by the P5's noise isolation properties. The ear cups are made of memory foam, and seem to passively keep out a great deal of environmental noise. Of course, they are $300 headphones, so you'd kind of expect that.
