Sharkk has launched an Indiegogo campaign to fund Bravo by Sharkk, an affordable over-the-ear hybrid electrostatic headphone that runs on 0.1 volts of internally generated power instead of needing an external power source.

A few days into the 30-day campaign, the company had already raised $38,000 of its $50,000 goal.

The leather-wrapped headphone weighs only 0.65 pounds and combines an ultrathin film panel with a 1.5-inch dynamic bass driver in acoustically sealed ear cups.

The Bravo is available for preorder at the "early bird" price of $199 (regular price is $250), which includes a carry pouch and extra set of ear cushions. Estimated delivery is October.
