Tannoy Sensys Loudspeaker System HT Labs Measures
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the DC2 L/R (purple trace), DCC center channel (green trace), and DC1 surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.
The DC2's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +0.77/–1.59 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3dB point is at 50 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 44 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 2.96 ohms at 99 Hz and a phase angle of –66.55 degrees at 4.7 kHz. Sensitivity averages 85.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz.
The DCC's listening-window response measures +1.55/–5.46 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +1.63/–5.76 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 69 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 54 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.94 ohms at 20 kHz and a phase angle of –68.38 degrees at 4.2 kHz. Sensitivity averages 85.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz.
The DC1's listening-window response measures +0.88/–1.26 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 57 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 45 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.93 ohms at 20 kHz and a phase angle of –67.48 degrees at 4.2 kHz. Sensitivity averages 85 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz.—MJP
