Yamaha YSP-1 Digital Sound Projector HT Labs Measures
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close miking of all woofers) frequency response of the YSP-1 operating as a center channel (green trace). The loudspeaker was measured at a distance of 1 meter. Due to the reflective nature of the L/R and surround channels on this product, the only meaningful quasi-anechoic measurements we could make were of the center channel output.
The YSP-1's center-channel listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures, from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz, +0.86/–3.07 decibels. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +1.89/–2.89 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 83 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 70 Hz.—MJP
