The CEDIA Spring EXPO of 2008 won't be making its debut in Las Vegas after all. Instead, it will take place at the Dallas Convention Center. The dates have also been changed, from April 8-11 to April 29-May 2.

A CEDIA spokesperson explained to TWICE: "The Las Vegas Sands EXPO was unable to fulfill the contract with CEDIA due to a long-standing relationship with another organization who felt that CEDIA Spring EXPO was a competing trade show event. Since the other event had seniority, the Sands could not honor the contract with CEDIA."

The competing event was a security-oriented trade show scheduled for the same dates, the spokesperson said.

So the spring 2008 show will move to Dallas, with the following fall show continuing in Denver. The venue for the spring 2009 show has not been announced, though the fall 2009 show will move to Atlanta.
