I'm plasma. Couple of 42" Panny's ( an ED and HD ) and a 60" Kuro which is still waiting for a starting time ( planned move dragging way, way out ). Before 2nd 42" Panny bought a 32" LCD for bedroom. Close up picture of female model's face, she turns, bright red lipstick follows behind. No, No, NO! Returned.
Understood , LCD wins in showroom and short term in home with a bright ( sort of neon for me ) pic. But long term, I think plasma just gives you more 'real'. ( Not to mention the sig. issue of viewing angle )
It's the 3D I'm not sure about. Maybe I need to visit more demos. Is there enough there to warrant 'suiting up' ( glasses ) to watch? I'm reading glasses age, got these ½ height lucites all over the house & cars ( buy 'em by the dozen ) but still find myself looking for 'em on occasion. Nice thing about ½ height, drop 'em down a little on nose & you can read and watch TV with just a little eye movement. But these 3D glasses, that's total commitment, don't think I can warm to it. & what if you have a couple of more guests than glasses? How does that work? What's the protocol ?
