Just in time for summer, Peerless-AV has added four weatherproof outdoor video displays to its Xtreme High Bright (XHB) series.

With screen sizes of 43, 49, 55, and 65 inches, the new 1080p models are fully sealed IP-68 rated designs featuring a nearly indestructible IK10-rated glass cover and spec’d to deliver 2,500 nits of light output while maintaining color accuracy at viewing angles of up to 178 degrees off center.

The top IP-68 rating means the displays are dust tight and designed to withstand continuous immersion beyond 3 feet. All four models are described as maintenance-free — with no need to change filters or service the display — and built to withstand temperatures from –31° F to 140° F, according to Peerless-AV. The company’s patented Dynamic Thermal Transfer system, which keeps internal components cool, is said to make operation under such extreme temperatures possible.
