800" of Plasma TV Goodness at Super Bowl XLI
You can bet (figuratively, not literally) that the stadium's owners didn't pay the full retail price of $69,999.95 for each one of the plasmas, which, Panasonic notes, have "an effective display area of approximately 89" wide by 50" high...almost equivalent in size to a queen-sized bed".
Panasonic says the TH-103PF9UK displays full HD pixel resolution of 1920 horizontal by 1080 vertical with a contrast ratio of 5,000:1.
There's good news for folks who don't have $70K in their bank accounts. Panasonic is offering special financing as low as 2.99% for 24 months and up to 8.49% for 60 months. In case you'd like smaller flat-panels sets for other rooms in your home, you can get the financing on other Panasonic Professional Plasma Displays as long as you're buying them with at least one 103" model.
Unfortunately, you can not include Panasonic's $99 DVD-S52K upconverting DVD player and still take advantage of the financing.
