Angstrom Suono 600SD Speaker System HT Labs Measures
L/R Sensitivity: 88 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz
Surround Sensitivity: 88 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the Suono 600SD L/R (purple trace), Suono 100SD surround (red trace), and ALFT-10S subwoofer (blue trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes. (Please note that the unusual center-channel configuration of this system doesn’t let us derive meaningful results from our standard measurements, so we did not perform those tests.)
The Suono 600SD’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +1.45/–3.38 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 120 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 103 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 5.21 ohms at 299 Hz and a phase angle of –17.66 degrees at 183 Hz.
The Suono 100SD’s listening-window response measures +3.47/–7.88 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 111 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 99 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.91 ohms at 273 Hz and a phase angle of –27.32 degrees at 170 Hz.
The ALFT-10S’s close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 53 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 42 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 173 Hz using the LFE input.—MJP
