Audio Advice Expands NC Footprint with Acquisition of The Audio Lab
The Audio Lab, which has been serving the coastal Carolinas from its Wilmington store for more than 30 years, is seen as a perfect complement to Audio Advice. The new location is about 140 miles south of Audio Advice’s Raleigh showroom.
“In addition to providing the combined expertise in Wilmington for The Audio Lab customers, this combination allows us to better serve our customers who have second homes at the beach cities,” said Gregg Chopper, chief operating officer of Audio Advice. “We now have by far the largest team of expert sales professionals, system designers, installation technicians, and service and support personnel throughout the Carolinas.”
Chopper said the company will invest in The Audio Lab store in Wilmington to make it consistent with Audio Advice’s well-established showrooms, which specialize in everything from smart home systems with and controlled lighting and shades to every level of home theater and audio systems. “We believe in having large best-in-class showrooms that allow consumers to touch, feel, and experience everything before buying,” he said.
“We are super excited to welcome The Audio Lab and its terrific team to the Audio Advice family,” said Audio Advice CEO Scott Newnam. “We believe this combination will allow us to provide the best of both companies to customers throughout the Carolinas.”
Bill Rudisill, owner of The Audio Lab, said, “I am extremely proud of what we have at The Audio Lab and could not be more happy with our team joining the Audio Advice family. Audio Advice is bringing a level of training, reputation, and investment into our team and showroom that makes me incredibly happy.”
In addition to its showrooms, Audio Advice is known nationwide for its expertise in audio and home theater, including a wealth of online resources and its patented Home Theater Design Tool, which is available for free at audioadvice.com. The company also hosts the annual Audio Advice Live show in Raleigh, one of the nation’s largest shows focusing on home theater and audio. This year’s show will take place August 2-4 at the Sheraton in downtown Raleigh.
