Audyssey announces its own iPod dock
Audio processing technology company Audyssey has come out with its own hardware, in the form of an iPod dock. The Audyssey Audio Dock: South of Market Edition is a one-piece speaker dock with wireless capabilities and loaded with Audyssey's audio algorithms.
The Audyssey Audio Dock features two 4-inch woofers and two 0.75-inch tweeters, all powered by four discrete amps. Besides the 30-pin iPod/iPhone connector, the dock can wirelessly connect to any Bluetooth device that supports A2DP. It features Audyssey EQ and Dynamic EQ for balancing sound levels, Audyssey BassXT for pumping up the bass response in its woofers, Audyssey Dynamic Volume for keeping the speaker from blasting suddenly, and Audyssey Tilt and Fast Slope Tone for fine user adjustments. The dock can also double as a speakerphone, and can work with both its built-in microphone or an external microphone through its microphone input jack.
The Audyssey Audio Dock: South of Market Edition will hit stores by the end of the year, and retail for $399.
