An AV Credenza Made of Reclaimed Materials

We sometimes stumble upon interesting things at shows. The Credenza from Richmond, VA-based design house Fern & Roby caught our eye for its originality.

Described as a perfect sideboard for a listening room, the minimalist cabinet is made with reclaimed hardwoods, steel sliding doors, and iron legs cast at a local foundry and hand-finished with a traditional patina. An interior shelf with space below provides a place for components and an LP collection.

A variety of metal and wood finishes are available. Wood options include heart pine, rock maple, and wormy chestnut; metal leg options include cast aluminum, bronze, and iron.

The cabinet is 30 inches tall, 20 inches deep and between 60 and 72 inches wide. Price: $6,500 plus shipping.

Call it a bookcase and it's maybe a thousand bucks. Call it audio/video furniture and the sky's the limit.

Yeah. It looks a little retro '70's cheap. But hey, what do I know.

Maybe it represents a little better in real life.
