Bell'O International has honored the formidable Motown songwriting team of Holland Dozier Holland with the first annual "Take a Bow, Take a Seat" award.

You can't fault the a/v furniture maker on taste. Holland Dozier Holland wrote "(Love Is Like a) Heat Wave" for Martha & the Vandellas, "How Sweet It Is (to Be Loved by You)" for Marvin Gaye, and five number one singles (remember those?) for the Supreme including "Where Did Our Love Go." The team consisted of Eddie and Brian Holland and Lamont Dozier.

They entered the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. But their career was a hard slog, including years of litigation with Motown after they broke away to form their own record labels, Invictus and Hot Wax.
