BenQ Unveils New 4K Gaming Projectors: TK710 and TK710STi

BenQ has announced the release of its latest 4K casual gaming projectors, the TK710 and TK710STi. These new models feature high brightness (3200 ANSI lumens) and contrast, 95% Rec.709 color accuracy, and HDR compatibility, making them suitable for both movies and gaming in various lighting conditions.

Technical Specifications and Improvements
The TK710 and TK710STi represent significant advancements over their predecessors. The input lag is ultra low: 16.7ms at 4K and 4.2ms at 1080p. Combined with high brightness, this makes them great for large-screen gaming.

Installation and Performance
The TK710 is designed for larger spaces, offering a 100 inch image at 8.4 feet and 120 inches at 10 feet. It features a ±10% vertical lens shift for easier installation and includes specialized HDR game modes. The TK710STi, suited for smaller environments, provides a throw ratio offering a 100-inch image at 5 feet and 120 inch picture at 6 feet. However, it has a slightly lower 1.2x zoom, and it does not offer lens shift. The latter includes an Android TV dongle for streaming capabilities, including Netflix.

Houston Wei, senior director of BenQ North America, highlighted the practicality and versatility of these new projectors: “We recognize the need for dynamic, easy-to-use, and versatile projectors. With the TK710 and TK710STi, gamers and movie enthusiasts can experience high-quality visuals and responsive gaming in almost any setting.”

With 3200lm brightness and a 600,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, these projectors ensure detailed visuals even in well-lit rooms. The 95% Rec.709 color coverage offers accurate color representation although it does not support wide color gamut.

The projectors sport dual HDMI 2.0b ports. They work with HDMI 2.0b 4K@60Hz / 1080p@120Hz. The projector also has eARC capability. This enables 7.1-channel and Dolby Atmos audio. The ports support many gaming consoles, including PS5/PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X.

Pricing and Availability
The TK710 is priced at $1,799, while the TK710STi is available for $1,999. Both models are available for purchase on BenQ.com and Amazon.com.
