DVDs

1. Scarface (Universal) "The Pacino version, not the old one."

2. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (Warner)

3. Goodfellas (Warner)

"I kind of dig the crime. I'm fascinated by power gone bad. It's all power of the pink. You look at Scarface or Goodfellas, you look at any presidency that's failed, any king that's lost his country, any guy that's ever f---ed up - it was because of the pink. Everything that every guy does, straight or gay, is for that piece. The presidencies that have been lost, the impeachments - I don't care what it is. Whether it's scams or the money-laundering, it's all to get the money for that trim. Women rule the world. They always will, and the minute a man understands that, he'll live happier, he'll sleep better."

4. Annie Hall (MGM)

5. Rain Man (MGM)

CDs

1. Bruce Springsteen, Tunnel of Love (Columbia)

"I'm a huge Springsteen fan. I know some fans like Nebraska or The River. They're all great. It's just that Tunnel of Love has a couple tunes that really do it for me: 'One Step Up,' 'Brilliant Disguise,' the title track."

2. James Taylor, Greatest Hits (Warner Bros.)

3. Frank Sinatra, The Main Event: Live (Reprise)

"Nothing usually sounds good on a live album, but this is one of the best ones ever. My No. 6 pick was gonna be Hot August Night by Neil Diamond, but I didn't want anyone to laugh at me."

4. Teddy Pendergrass, Close the Door (and the Rest) (Brilliant)

5. Van Morrison, The Healing Game (Mercury)

Joely Fisher's Top 5 DVDs & CDs

DVDs

1. Terms of Endearment (Paramount)

"At any point in the movie, whether I've missed 5 minutes, a half hour, or three quarters, I will sob. You need a good cry."

2. The Sound of Music (20th Century Fox)

"I love old musicals. I love the idea that there's so much emotion in somebody that you have nothing left to say - so Goddamn it, you're going to sing it!"

3. Raging Bull (MGM)

"It was on cable the other day. We flipped past it, and I said, 'Put that back on!' Then I realized the children were walking in and out of the room, so we didn't get to watch it."

4. Arthur (Warner)

"I know every word. I do the best drunk impression of Dudley Moore, God rest his soul, that anyone has ever done. It's my go-to comedy."

5. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (Paramount)

"Between you and me and the lamp post, the creators are either smoking some serious stuff or they're geniuses. Or both. I got into it because my baby would go, 'Ba Ba Pants!' I put it on just to keep her amused for a few minutes, because most of the humor goes over her head. But my husband and I will be sitting there watching and laughing out loud."

Current Musical Artists of Choice

"I have 38,000 songs on my computer, and I'm a singer, so I listen to a lot of different things."

1. Carla Bruni

2. Anything by Dusty Springfield

3. Lupe Fiasco

"It's very contemporary. I heard a song on the radio, and I had to figure out who it was. It's like house mixed with old samples, and it's interesting stuff."

4. American Idol

"I'm watching and listening to American Idol. I'm pulling for Carly [Smithson], the Irish girl. Either her or David Archuleta."

5. Feist, The Reminder (Cherrytree/Interscope)

"This one's in regular rotation."

Joely's Home Theater Dreams

When you're a parent living under one roof with a brood of kids, there are a few things you must have in order to preserve your sanity. A well-stocked liquor cabinet comes to mind. But in Joely Fisher's case, it's all about the multiple TVs. The 'Til Death co-star shares a new house with her husband and four children, who range in age from 2 to 22, and getting QT with the TV is nearly impossible.

Especially in the new house's media room (shown above), which features a 70-inch Sony rear-projection set. Fisher only recently moved in, and the room is a work in progress, but it's destined to become a popular place for the family to gather.

"I don't have what Brad has," Fisher admits. "I had a great screening room in the house I just moved out of. It was there when I moved in, so I can't take credit for it. All I did was put in some new chairs with big armrests. It was definitely a hang. Everyone loved to go into the theater. Even my daughter, who was 6, was like, 'Do you want me to show you the special, special, special room?' We'd have kids run in there, and we'd put on Narnia or anything Harry Potter or anything Star Wars."

And while the children liked to watch kids' stuff and the boys watched sports, Fisher says she's all about the movies - in those few moments when the rest of the family is asleep or at school.

"I was talking with a friend the other day, and we said that we must be getting old because we don't go to movies anymore."

Not a problem. With the right room and equipment, Fisher says the home experience is just as powerful as going out to a theater.

"Any movie about sisters, I love," she says. "I remember watching Hilary and Jackie in the home theater, and I immediately started sobbing. I didn't need to watch this movie in a theater with 1,000 other people. I had the connection by myself in a room."

And best of all, there's no one talking on a cellphone in the row behind you.
