Minfort’s crowdfunded Min7 wireless speaker is off and running, having exceeded its $15,000 goal by nearly $68,000 with two months left on the Kickstarter funding clock.

As of today, Minfort has raised more than $83,000 to fund the hand-crafted wireless speaker, which is due out in April at a retail price of $799 (early backers can pre-order one for $499 in oak or walnut or $449 in teak). The company is based in Taiwan and has facilities in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The 17.2 x 11.4 x 11.4-inch speaker, which supports both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, looks exceptionally well made and is offered in solid teak, walnut, and oak. The speaker is a 150-watt 2.1-channel design with a down-firing 5.25-inch “subwoofer” and left/right-channel speaker complements comprising a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter and a 4-inch woofer.
