Damson Audio's small and affordable S Series Home Theatre System is one of the few to win THX certification.

The S Series includes an LCR module for the three front channels. (The LG Blu-ray player lurking behind it is not part of the system.) Also included are the flat-form sub shown shown above, plus a pair of surrounds, all wireless. The system uses 5.8 GHz mesh networking. USB-C connectivity allows firmware updates.

Yorkshire-based Damson has been around for five years. THX helped refine the product, providing the software, while Damson handled the hardware. The sound was good considering the size of the extremely minimal size of the speakers and the price of $599.
