We're usually on about the biggest and best sound equipment you can buy, but in this case small is definitely cool. Some researchers at UCLA Berkeley have created a radio out of a single carbon nanotube, making it the smallest radio in the world. What did they do with it? Well, they listened to classic rock songs, of course. Check the link for a version of "Layla" that you'll have no trouble believing was recorded from something small. But, sound quality isn't the number one priority, as the researches say that this kind of breakthrough my eventually lead to incredible technologies like radio-controlled devices small enough to travel around inside of the human bloodstream. It also means we're that much closer to having radios implanted right into our heads. So long, headphones.
