Hegel’s H390 Integrated Amp Packs a Punch
Norway’s Hegel Music Systems is known for its line of sleek, yet powerful integrated amplifiers featuring enhancements such as Soundengine 2, a proprietary tech designed to eliminate the crossover distortion typically generated by class-A/B amplifiers. Packing 250 watts per channel (into 8 ohms), the H390 arrives ready to take on even difficult to drive speakers while offering the convenience of UPnP and AirPlay 2 streaming.
Along with AirPlay, the H390 features Spotify Connect and Hegel says an update coming later this year will make it Roon Ready. A high-quality DAC provides re-clocking to improve sound from sources connected to its coaxial, optical, and USB digital inputs. Other inputs include analog XLR and RCA.
The H390 will sell for $6,000 when it ships in September.
