Internet-enabled sets are being shipped in far greater numbers than 3D sets.

For 2010, 27.7 percent of TVs globally shipped will be IETVs, versus just 4.2 percent of 3DTVs. For 2011, the forecast is 49.9 percent for IETVs and 12.9 percent for 3DTVs. These numbers are from iSuppli. DisplaySearch's forecast for 3DTV is even lower.

While several factors are cited, the biggest reason seems to be content. There's a lot more of it on the internet than there is on the 3D front.
