Sexy temptress Megan Fox is hotter than hell as Jennifer, a gorgeous, seductive cheerleader who takes evil to a whole new level after she's possessed by a sinister demon. Steamy action and gore galore ensue as the male student body succumbs to Jennifer's insatiable appetite for human flesh. Now it's up to her best friend (Amanda Seyfried) to stop Jennifer's reign of terror before it's too late.

It was only a matter of time before we started seeing vehicles for Megan Fox. Luckily, this one manages to do a better job as a film than Megan as an actress. It what I would call a slight throwback to 80’s horror style, Body manages to walk the fine line between camp and horror. There are some really great lines here, but scares can be a bit lacking. While Megan is obviously the headliner here, I was really impressed with Seyfried as the “ugly friend”, who manages to steal most of the movie. Overall this was more fun than I thought it would be and a pretty decent weekend rental for a horror date night.

Fox delivers a great presentation for this one on Blu. The picture has great detail and plenty of rich contrast and I was impressed with the level of depth and dimension. Colors are rich in hue and blacks are nice and inky. The soundtrack is a bit cookie cutter for the genre, but helps with the mood for the most part. The alt soundtrack didn’t do much for me, but it boosted the dynamics adequately.

Fox includes a digital copy for this one along with a couple feature commentaries. Some deleted scenes, production features and gag reels are also included.

Better than I though it would be is the best way to describe it. Fox takes a back seat to a decent concept and her co-star manages to carry the film nicely. And honestly, even Fox delivers more than just her looks. Worth a rent.
