Infinity TSS-750 Speaker System HT Labs Measures
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the SAT 750 satellite (purple trace), SUB 750 subwoofer (blue trace), and CENTER 750 center channel (green trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.
The SAT 750's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +3.01/–1.26 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3dB point is at 150 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 126 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.16 ohms at 369 Hz and a phase angle of –45.04 degrees at 213 Hz. Sensitivity averages 82 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz.
The CENTER 750's listening-window response measures +2.87/–1.17 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +2.90/–0.98 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 154 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 132 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.05 ohms at 408 Hz and a phase angle of –48.79 degrees at 218 Hz. Sensitivity averages 86 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz.
The SUB 750's close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3dB point is at 49 Hz and the –6dB point is at 38 Hz. The upper –3dB point is at 160 Hz with the LFE/normal switch set to LFE.—MJP
