Integra Unveils Custom Install-Focused AV Receivers
Rated to deliver 7 x 80 and 7 x 100 watts with six and eight HDMI inputs, respectively, the DRX-2.1 ($800) and DRX-3.1 ($1,000) are equipped with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround processing for 5.2.2 setups and support HDMI-2.0a, HDCP-2.2, 4K/60 Hz, BT.2020 passthrough with HDCP 2.2, and all three high dynamic range (HDR) formats: HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma).
Both models are hi-res audio-capable, supporting DSD 5.6 MHz and 2.8 MHz, 192-kHz/24-bit PCM, and Dolby TrueHD (via USB input). Supported formats include FLAC, WAV, ALAC, AIFF, WMA Lossless, MP3, and AAC via the network or USB input.
Other common features include Chromecast built-in (available via a firmware update), which allows music to be “cast” to the receiver from a smartphone or tablet, voice control when a Google Home speaker is on the network, and multiroom wireless playback via FireConnect by Blackfire, Apple Airplay, and DTS Play-Fi (via a firmware update). Onboard streaming apps include Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn Radio, and two services new to Integra—Tidal, and Deezer.
Custom installation features include:
• Bi-directional RS232 and Ethernet ports for home automation
• Zone 2 pre/line out for distributed audio playback in another room
• Zone 2 DAC network and analog sources (plus SPDIF for DRX-3.1)
• Independent Zone 2 bass, treble, and balance controls
• Settings memory store and recall with lock/unlock and PC software support
• Two IR inputs and one output
• Three programmable 12-volt triggers (100 mA, 25 mA x 2, with adjustable delay)
