Deeper into this blog thread you’ll read more about JVC’s impressive new lamp-based 4K projector lineup. I arrived late to the press event and had to take screenshots from the back. But I couldn’t resist bringing you an MST3000 moment.

Seriously, both of the JVC projectors demo’ed at the show — the $6,000 NX5 and the $18,000 NX9 shown here, which uses 4K imagers pixel shifted into 8K (the other two models are “simply” 4K) — looked fabulous. Don’t assume that this screen shot is at all representative; a screen shot as seen on your computer, taken with nondescript pocket camera, obviously can’t capture the jaw-dropping pictures I saw.
