KEF KIT100 Instant Theatre HT Labs Measures
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the KIT100S L/R (purple trace) and KIT100PSW subwoofer (blue trace). The L/R was measured at a distance of 1 meter and scaled for display purposes. Please note that this system's proprietary connectors precluded many of our usual tests.
The KIT100S's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +2.54/–3.76 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 141 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 124 Hz.
The KIT100PSW's close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3dB point is at 39 Hz and the –6dB point is at 34 Hz. The upper –3dB point is at 118 Hz.—MJP
