KEF’s Ventura Series speakers are built to withstand extreme weather conditions, including direct exposure to sun, rain, and salt spray in temperatures as low as –40° or as high as 158°. Each speaker is salt-spray tested for more than 1,200 hours, making it suitable for use in marine environments, and carries a certified ingress protection rating of IP65, meaning it is impervious to dust and able to withstand reasonably strong direct water sprays from any direction without consequence.

To avoid rust, the grille cover and integral mounting bracket on each speaker are made of aluminum with stainless steel hardware and a threaded brass insert for use with aftermarket mounting kits. The speakers can be mounted vertically or horizontally as needed and include a logo that can be rotated to accommodate either position.

The line comprises two identical looking models, each featuring KEF’s signature Uni-Q driver in a sealed, enclosure: The Ventura 5 ($500/pair), featuring a 5.25-inch woofer and concentric 1-inch aluminum tweeter, and the slightly larger Ventura 6 ($600/pair) that mates a 6.5-inch woofer with the integral tweeter.

The Ventura 5 is rated down to 60 Hz and the Ventura 6 to 54 Hz (both ±6 dB). Both speakers have a nominal impedance of 6 ohms and respective sensitivity ratings of 89 and 90 dB SPL (measured on axis at a distance of 1 meter with a 1-watt input).
