LG 4K/Ultra HD Blu-ray Player Now Available
LG today announced the availability of the UP970 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player it previewed at CES 2017 last January.
The $299 player supports the HDR10 and Dolby Vision high-dynamic range (HDR) formats but the latter won’t be available until later this year via a software update.
Features include an HDMI 2.0a port for 4K video output and an HDMI 1.4 port for legacy devices that may not be able to pass an HDR signal, Wi-Fi connectivity with direct access to Netflix and YouTube, 3D playback, Ethernet and USB ports, and compatibility with Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio sound formats.
