Life As We Know It (Blu-ray)
There's definitely a female slant to this story and my wife enjoyed this much more than I did, but watching nearly two hours of Heigl in high-definition certainly makes up for the far-fetched story. Even though I wasn't the target demographic, I did find myself laughing-out-loud a few times, especially when the novice new guardians had to change a diaper for the first time and had the joy of baby proofing the house!
Video Highlights
- AVC/1080p encode on a BD-25 disc
- Soft detail
- Golden cast to color palette
- Flat image
Audio Highlights
- DTS-HD MA 5.1 soundtrack
- Front-loaded presentation
- Suitable ambience from the rear speakers
- Intelligible dialog
Warner had been on a successful streak of great looking Blu-ray titles, but this one is a major disappointment and in some scenes barely passes for high-definition. The audio track is better than the video, but is mostly dialog driven.
Bonus Materials br>
- Three featurettes
- Deleted scenes
- DVD and Digital Copy of the film
While I wouldn't consider this great cinema, it is entertaining and funny. Heigl and Duhamel certainly show some onscreen chemistry and the baby is adorable. Give it a rent.
