Madison Fielding, maker of high-end outdoor speakers that masquerade as planters, has introduced the Flagstone PlanterSpeaker series. The lineup comprises three “fully weatherproof” models made of UV-rated industrial-grade poly resin, each featuring a planting tray for flowers or plants.

The Mini Flagstone ($2,595/pr) is a 20.5-inch-tall 4-ohm model featuring a 1-inch fabric-dome tweeter, 4-inch midrange, and down-firing 8-inch dual-voice-coil woofer. Respective ratings for bandwidth, power handling, and sensitivity are 48 Hz-15 kHz, 100 watts/channel, and 89 dB.

The Flagstone ($3,495/pr) is a 22-inch-tall 8-ohm model featuring a tweeter/midrange/woofer complement imported from the respected French speaker maker Audax. Respective ratings for bandwidth, power handling, and sensitivity are 40 Hz-18 kHz, 150 watts/channel, and 89 dB. A pair of these speakers is said to cover up to 1,000 square feet.

The 20.5-inch-tall C- Flagstone ($3,895/pr) is a high-efficiency/high-power-handling 4-ohm model featuring a 1-inch tweeter, two 4-inch midrange drivers, and a down-firing 10-inch dual-voice coil woofer. Respective ratings for bandwidth, power handling, and sensitivity are 40 Hz-18 kHz, 175 watts/channel, and 90 dB.
