Monsters of Prog
Once and future progressive rock titans Yes and Styx are heading out together on a US tour beginning this July 4, wrapping up August 3. The bands will trade off the headlining slot, so check the bands' sites to keep updated on details for the shows close to you.
Yes' current lineup, including original members Steve Howe, Chris Squire, and Alan White, along with veteran keyboardist Geoff Downes (but with new vocalist Benoit David in place of-we can't really say "replacing"-Jon Anderson) just finished up Fly From Here with Trevor Horn behind the board.
Styx-these days including Tommy Shaw, James "JY" Young, and (in occasional "surprise appearances") Chuck Panozzo, joined by newcomers Lawrence Gowan, Todd Sucherman, and Ricky Philips-will be touring behind Regeneration 1&2, which feature re-recordings of the band's classic material.
